8/27/07: Kevin Walker National Chef of the Year for 2007
Kevin sent us the following in an email: "I have been a client with CTS for about 15-18 months and have really enjoyed the benefits from my training. Recently, I was named National Chef of the Year by The American Culinary Federation. I truly believe my training was a huge factor in my ability to compete for this prestigious award, and I'd like to thank my CTS Coach, Michelle Phenecie, for all her help."
Kevin is the Executive Chef at the Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, Georgia.

8/19/07: Morgan Murri Completes Leadman Challenge On August 19, Morgan Murri became on of just 27 athlete to ever complete the grueling Leadman Challenge in Leadville, Colorado. To complete the challenge, an athlete has to finish each of five high-altitude endurance events held in Leadville throughout the year: a 10-kilometer run, marathon, 50-mile mountain bike race, 100-mile mountain bike race, and a 100-mile run. He is coached by CTS Coach Mike Durner.
Morgan finished the events as follows:
Marathon: 4:52.55 Silver Rush 50: 5:03.36 MTN Bike 100: 9:35.21 LT 100 10K: 47.46 LT100: 26:47.13 Total Time: 46:36.51 Willow Koerber Wraps Up US Domestic Mountain Bike Season
Subaru/Gary Fisher pro Willow Koerber wrapped up her summer mountain bike season in the US with fifth-place finishes in the cross country and short track events at the NORBA National Finals in Aspen, Colorado. Those results also secured here fifth place in the cross coutnry category of the 2007 NORBA Series, and fourth place in the short track category.
In the weeks before Aspen, Koerber finished third in the cross country race at the NORBA National Championship event in Mount Snow, Vermont, and second in NORBA National event in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
Next up, Koerber is preparing for a fall European campaign, including the World Championships, a World Cup race, and a test event on the 2008 Olympic mountain bike course in Beijing, China.
8/19/07: Mike Harty Climbs 7 14er's in 9 Days
After reading Chris Carmichael's book, The Ultimate Ride, Mike Harty decided that his "ultimate goal" was to reach the 14,000-plus-foot summits of seven Colorado mountains in just one week. With the help of his CTS Coach, Adam Pulford, Mike completed his goal and had a great trip.
8/18/07: Dana Stryk Wins Highway to Heaven Hillclimb On August 18, Dana Stryk won the Women's category at the Highway to Heaven Hillclimb time trial in Ellicot City, Maryland. The uphill time trial climbs 352 feet in just 0.9 miles, with grades that reach 18%. Dana is coached by CTS Coach Adam Pulford.
8/11/07: Alan Wakefield Wins Lamoille Canyon Hillclimb
On August 11, Alan Wakefield won the Lamoille Canyon Hillclimb time trial in Lamoille, Nevada. The uphill time trial covers 13 miles, and Alan won his age group (19-29) as well as the overall with a time of 55:20. Alan is coached by CTS Coach Adam Pulford.
8/9/07: Juan Pablo Magallanes Wins Stage 10 of Vuelta Columbia On August 8, Juan Pablo Magallanes (Mexican National Team) won Stage 10 of the Vuelta Colombia! He took 3rd on Stage one but then the stages started climbing until today. Four stages remain and then Juan Pablo returns to Mexico for the Road and TT national Championships to be held 16-20 August. To give you an idea of how strong this guy is, he was in our Colorado Springs office a few months ago and recorded the highest VO2max we've ever tested in the CTS lab.

8/4/2007: David Lawrence Wins Men's 50-54 Texas State Time Trial Championship
